You’re all beautiful and awesome and amazing and inspiring. In the past four hours we received 1,000 hits and more than 100 comments on our blogs and Facebook accounts. We keep shaking our heads, amazed that this story has touched so many of you.

In addition to all of the love we’re receiving today, I take strange comfort in knowing that “brazilian naked guys” continues to be a popular search term used to find my blog.

It’s 10:30 pm in Brazil and we’re off to bed so that we can make our 6 am wake-up call. It’s a whole new world. In upcoming posts, you’ll read about Bliss Reloaded…Gerson-style.

Bliss, Interrupted

When I started Live Your Bliss 2 years ago, the road ahead was virtually unknown. We moved to Brazil with a glimmer of a plan and a dream to find Bliss in whatever form it would take. Whatever was ahead, we intuitively knew that The Plan for our lives was bigger and more mysterious than we could possibly understand.

I’m certain that the news I’m sharing today, as difficult as it is, is part of that Plan.

On November 21, 2011, Helena was diagnosed with cancer.

Why this? Why now? Why her?

In time, I trust that we’ll come to know the answers.

This blog has been an important form of therapy for me over the past 2 years, so it’s been strange to omit this story from recent posts—although I’ve alluded to it here and there. Today is our “coming out” day, and oddly, it’s the first time since beginning this blog that I’m at a loss for words.

This is Helena’s story to tell, so I’ve asked her to help me. A few minutes ago I launched her into the blogosphere, so you can read the rest of the story on her blog, Helena’s Healing Circle.

As I’ve told my friends, it’s still Bliss, just through a different lens.
