EU SOU BRASILEIRA!!!

It’s official! Just short of 2 years after beginning the process, I’m finally, officially, a Permanent Resident of Brazil!

Why this is so awesome:

  • Cause it is.
  • Now I can have a bank account and a driver’s license. I’m still waiting for my Resident Gift Bag, but I’m sure it’s on the way.
  • I was granted citizenship as a result of our legal marriage in the US. How cool is that?!
  • They can’t kick me out. Not unless I do something really, really naughty. And not even then. I’d just go to jail. Which is highly, highly unlikely…

I had no idea that I’d be this excited.

Woooo-hoooooooo! OBA!

    Now i have to go to Brazil for my husband to have the Brazilian one!!!!

  2. Congratulations!!!!! Welcome to the club of gringo-cariocas :-) Though they have suprisingly been giving these visas out to gay partners since January 2008
